THE HINDENBURG OMEN BEAR INDICATOR (updated)
Resume: The indicator is used as a bearish indicator to forecast declines in the stock market. If 3 conditions are met, this indicator predicts that the market will make a stronger correction or consolidation within the next 3 - 6 months.
Based on the idea of "market breadth divergences", the indicator detects an instability of stock market indices, by analyzing the new highs and new lows ratio of the index components.
Calculation:

The index must be in a bull trend. We use the 50 days average and compare it to the last Close of the SPY ETF

Market breath divergences: New 52 weeks high and lows of the NYSE must be greater than 2.8% of the total of NYSE stocks. The 52 weeks high number must not be 2 times of the 52 weeks low number.

The McClellan indicator must be in negative territory.
